New law enforcement officers join the ranks after graduation today

There will be several new law enforcement officers joining the ranks today, after the graduation of Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Center’s Basic Recruit class 12-2.

Among the City police departments in Southern Arizona that will be getting new recruits is Sierra Vista with one graduate; the University of Arizona Police Department with one graduate, and Tucson with 14 new recruits.  Tribal Police Departments like the Tohono O’odham and Pascua Yaqui will both be getting two new recruits.

The rest of the graduating class will disperse across Arizona to - Arizona Department of Transportation Enforcement & Compliance, Graham County Sheriff’s Office, Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department, Show Low Police Department, and the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.

Graduation will take place this afternoon at the Doubletree by Hilton Tucson Reid Park, in their Grand Ballroom.  Congratulations to this new class of law enforcement officers.
