Error occurs with Sierra Vista traffic safety camera | News
Sierra Vista is experiencing growing pains with their new traffic safety cameras. According to a City of Sierra Vista news release a glitch in the system caused traffic citations to be issued two days early.
Drivers who went through the intersection of State Route 92 and Avenida Cochise, prior to the March 11 official start date, should contact Sierra Vista Police to have their citations dismissed.
The news release states that anyone who was issued a citation from that traffic camera, with a date of March 9 or 10, should contact Officer Bob Randall, SVPD at 452-7500, to have their tickets dismissed.
According to SVPD officials they have contacted the Cochise County Justice Court to have tickets dismissed.
SVPD is also working proactively to contact all 40 drivers who were issued citations in error.
