Thanksgiving meals offered at Fort Huachuca | Events

The following is a news release from Ft. Huachuca:

Our dining facilities serve Thanksgiving meals for civilians and retirees on two separate days.

Yardley Dining Facility serves their meal 1:30-3 p.m. on Thursday.  Yardley is located in Prosser Village.

Thunderbird Dining Facility served their Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday.

The standard meal rate is $7.  Neither checks nor credit cards are accepted.

In keeping with tradition, officers in their Army service uniforms will serve the meal on the line. 

Another tradition is competing for the commander's award for the best Thanksgiving meal.  The DFACs go all out not only in terms of the quality of food, but decorating with cakes, and ice and bread sculptures. 

The commander's award will be presented after the holiday weekend.
