TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- Sierra Vista police arrested two men today who police say allegedly burglarized vending machines in an apartment complex.

According to Sierra Vista police, Calvin Smith, 20, and Victor Smith, 21 were taken into custody after a brief chase on foot. A police officer responding to a call at Las Palomas Apartments at 499 South Carmichael Avenue saw the men jump a wall from the apartment complex into an alley.

Police say they found evidence that a vending machine had been burglarized and damaged. They also say Calvin Smith was carrying tools that may have been used to break into the machines.

Calvin Smith was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and possession of burglary tools.

Victor Smith, who is not related to Calvin Smith, was charged with burglary and criminal trespass.

Both men were booked into the Cochise County Jail.
