Weekend report for the Cochise County Sheriff's Office | Crime
The following is the weekend report from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for the December 14 – 16.
Daily Report – December 14
0002- A brush fire was reported on Dragoon Road and Golden Rule Road near Benson. The call was turned over to State Land for fire response.
0106- Willcox Border Patrol reported locating a vehicle that was reported stolen from San Antonio TX. Vehicle was recovered and towed from the 4K Truck Stop in San Simon.
0545- A woman reported two unknown subjects were parked near her house on N Hwy 191. The caller stated the subjects were attempting to gain access to her residence through the windows. No suspects were located
1319- A Whetstone resident reported that her credit card was used to make a purchase in another state fraudulently. Report taken.
1405- A Sierra Vista business owner reported having video footage of a male subject entering the business and stealing various metal items. Report taken.
1538- A Welfare Check was requested on an 83 year old man who was reportedly living in a condemned trailer south of Sierra Vista. Deputies located the man who is living in his truck as he is not financially able to repair the residence at this time. Contact was made with the Cochise County Jail Chaplain who is working on getting assistance to the man.
1623- A Fairbanks resident reported shots fired in area. Negative Contact by Deputies.
Daily Report – December 15
0656 – Subject reported his vehicle was parked overnight in a lot across from the Quic Pic in Mescal while he carpooled to work. When he went back this morning he found it had been struck during the night sustaining extensive front end damage rendering it inoperable.
0812 – A man called in reporting his 70 yr old wife was having an episode at their residence in Tombstone. A deputy and medics were dispatched. The female was acting confused and told the medics she wanted to leave this world. She was transported to the SVRHC for evaluation.
0915 – Received report two males had stopped their vehicle at MP 335 on I-10, exited the vehicle and engaged in fisticuffs on the side of the road. Deputies had negative contact upon their arrival.
0955 – DPS requested CCSO respond to area of Hwy 92 & Deliverance for a reported two vehicle accident blocking the roadway and the drivers were reportedly arguing. While enroute one of the vehicles involved left the scene. Deputies searched the area and located the vehicle at a residence on Joy Ave. Upon DPS arrival it was turned over to them.
1322 – Reported burglary during the night at the Serenity Club on Highway 92. Safe was taken.
1434 – Recovered stolen vehicle behind the Imagine Charter School on a dirt road. Vehicle no longer had tires and was towed by Goen’s Towing.
1857 – Male reported his brother from Mexico had threatened his son with a baseball bat and headed SB on foot towards POE. Contact Naco POE, but subject had just crossed into Mexico. Port of Entry has ATL and is familiar with subject.
Daily Report – December 16
0652 – A resident on Robbs Rd in Kansas Settlement reported he went out to empty the trash and found an illegal immigrant sleeping in the trash can. The individual got out and went to the residents vehicle asking for a ride. The man told him to leave and the subject left on foot. Border Patrol checked area with negative contact.
1213 – A resident on La Paloma Ln called in to report a possible burglary. Said a neighbor chased the kids off and was possibly still chasing them. She called back later to say it was an off duty BP agent chasing the subjects and he had them cornered somewhere on Calle Coyote east of Circle S. Deputies located all subjects and took them into custody. After further investigation, it was determined the juveniles did not gain entry.
1231-DPS requested assistance with an accident off of I-10 mile post 343 westbound. Deputies arrived on scene and located a vehicle approximately 100 yards north of the roadway in a pasture. The driver was unresponsive and appeared to have been there for an estimated two days. A window was broken on the truck and deputies made contact with the driver who was in need of medical attention. Willcox medics responded and transported the man to the Willcox hospital for treatment. NFI
2057 – A woman advised someone had just driven through their metal fence around the property on Double Adobe Road and was still on scene inside vehicle. Deputies arrived and stated driver had head injuries. Vehicle was towed.
