Second suspect arrested in violation of Medical Marijuana Act | Crime
A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a medical marijuana violation. On December 13, Sierra Vista Police officers made contact with the second suspect, identified as Christopher Heisler, 29, of Sierra Vista. Heisler was located at a local motel and arrested for: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Production of Marijuana. Heisler was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
The arrest was based on an earlier arrest from December 7, when Sierra Vista Police officers responded to a Domestic Violence call at a residence on West Martin Drive. While on scene, officers learned that both individuals involved had cultivation medical marijuana cards and were growing marijuana in a back bedroom. Arizona state law allows for an individual to cultivate up to 12 marijuana plants. The legal allotment for this residence was 24 plants. During a search warrant officers locate 32 plants. Mary Brown, 47, of Sierra Vista, was arrested for: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Production of Marijuana, and Tampering with Evidence.
