The Annie E. Casey Foundation released its 22nd Annual KIDS COUNT Data Book. Arizona’s overall ranking is 37 among all 50 states, reflecting data from 2007, 2008 and 2009 before recent massive state and local budget cuts took effect.

This year's ranking is slightly better than last year’s, due to improvements in the teen birthrate and the rate of teens who are high school dropouts.
