Brig. Gen. Gregg Potter, commanding general of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca, is the speaker for the event.

Parker Canyon Lake to Reopen Friday

Parker Canyon Lake, located on the Coronado National Forest, will reopen to the public on Friday, May 27 at noon, Coronado National Forest spokeswoman Heidi Schewel said.

According to Schewel, associated facilities, including the campground and marina, will also reopen.

“Firefighting efforts on the Arlene Fire have been quite effective,” said Annette Chavez, Sierra Vista District Ranger.  “Fortunately, the lake is no longer needed for fire suppression activities.  We welcome recreationists to enjoy opportunities for camping, fishing and boating this holiday weekend.  As a reminder, we are currently under fire restrictions, and campfires are prohibited.”
