The following is a news release from the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona
At the start of the Girl Scout cookie program, girls and their troops can choose to participate in the “Gift of Caring (GOC)” program. GOC gives girls and their troops the opportunity to donate boxes or a portion of their proceeds accumulated through the cookie sale to local organizations. Girls identify service goals and community based organizations that they would like to support through this process. Girls in Southern Arizona have gone above and beyond in contributing service and funds through the Gift of Caring program in 2013.
