Tucson's annual Veterans Day parade | Community Spirit
Looking for information on the Veterans Day Parade? Well here it is.
The parade will be held on November 12, starting at 8 a.m., with staging on West Alameda Street between Granada Avenue and Manning House Way.
Actual start time for the parade is 10 a.m. The parade will run west on Alameda Street, and then turns north on Church Ave to Sixth Street/St. Mary’s Road, then proceeds west on Sixth Street/St. Mary’s Road, then turns south on Granada Ave. to end at Franklin Street. (See the map below for route)
Those who wish to attend the parade should arrive early to avoid traffic detours that are necessary for parade set up. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic is being allowed in the area, but drivers will have to park and walk to parade site.
During the parade, businesses, parking garages and parking lots will be open and accessible. Those interested in parking and walking, the City State Garage at 498 W. Congress will be open at no charge for this event. Access to the garage can be made from Manning House Way, via Congress Street.
Starting at 8 a.m. until noon, the following streets will be closed:
West Alameda Street between Manning House Way and Church Avenue will be closed. Also, Church Avenue between Pennington Street and Sixth Street/Saint Mary’s Road will be closed; Sixth Street/Saint Mary’s Road between Stone Avenue and Granada Avenue will be closed; Franklin Street between Stone Avenue and Church Avenue; and Granada Avenue between Congress Street and Sixth Street/Saint Mary’s Road will be closed.
