Authors & Artists and Spirit of Douglas awards weekend

Looking for some local events to hit this month? Why not give these weekend events in Douglas a try!

There will be an 'Authors and Artists' weekend at the Hotel Gadsden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 13. Also on that day will be the presentation of the 'Spirit of Douglas' awards to the winners of the essay contest - 'Stories of Douglas that inspire me'

Don't forget to mark the calendars for the highlight of Centennial events in Douglas this month - with a centennial photo exhibit and time capsule reception, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 27, at a goverment building downtown.
